Getting Started

Veriscore Onboarding Guide

Everything you need to start verifying influencer authenticity — from account setup to reading your first report.

01

Account Setup

Creating a Veriscore account takes under two minutes. Here's what to expect:

  1. 1

Sign up with email or Google

Go to veriscore.io/signup and create your account. Email verification is required before you can run analyses.

  2. 2

    Add a payment method

A card on file is required to activate your account and receive your sign-up credit bonus. You are not charged at this step.

  3. 3

    Receive your free credits

Once your card is added, 50 free credits are automatically applied to your account. These are enough for one Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube analysis.

  4. 4

    Run your first analysis

Navigate to the dashboard and enter any supported influencer handle to get started.

Your card is not charged when you add a payment method during signup. You only pay when you purchase a credit pack.
02

Credit System

Veriscore uses a credit-based model — no subscriptions, no monthly fees. You buy credits when you need them and they never expire.

Running an Analysis

Veriscore currently supports Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), and YouTube. Here's how to run an analysis:

  1. 1

    Select a platform

Choose from Instagram, TikTok, X, or YouTube in the platform dropdown on the dashboard.

  2. 2

    Enter the handle

Type the influencer's username or handle — without the @ symbol. For YouTube, you can use the channel's custom URL handle (e.g. mkbhd) or paste the full channel URL.

  3. 3

    Confirm credit cost and submit

The credit cost is shown before you submit. Click Run Analysis. Your credits are deducted immediately.

  4. 4

    Wait for processing

Most analyses complete in under 2 minutes. Enterprise and Scale accounts receive priority processing, so their analyses are picked up first when multiple jobs are queued.

  5. 5

    View your report

Once complete, the report appears in your analysis history and you're taken to the full report page.

Credits are refunded automatically if an analysis fails for any technical reason (scraper error, account not found, etc.).
04

Reading Your Report

Each report contains several layers of analysis. Here's how to interpret them:

Authenticity Score

A score from 0–100 measuring the probability of inauthenticity. Lower is better. A score of 14 means 14% of signals suggest inauthentic activity.

Legit (score 0–25)

Low fraud risk. Proceed with confidence.

Monitor (score 26–50)

Some concerns present. Review manually before committing budget.

Sketchy (score 51–75)

Likely inauthentic audience. Avoid unless additional verification.

Run (score 76–100)

High confidence of fraud. Reject immediately.

IREM — Inferred Real Engaged Monthly Audience

IREM filters out estimated fake or ghost followers to give you a realistic picture of how many people actually engage with this creator's content each month. Use IREM — not follower count — when assessing true reach.

Signal Categories

Each platform analyses a different set of fraud signals. The report breaks these into weighted categories so you can see where risk is concentrated — e.g. follower quality vs. engagement patterns vs. content authenticity.

Red flags are listed individually with context so you can make an informed judgment, not just react to a number.

AI Insight

Each report includes a qualitative summary generated by Claude (Anthropic's AI). This section synthesises the raw signals into plain-language findings and recommends specific next steps — e.g. "request audience demographic screenshots directly from the creator" or "cross-reference against public engagement audit tools."

05

Sharing Reports

Every Veriscore report is accessible via a unique URL. You do not need to be logged in to view a shared report.

  1. 1

    Open the report

Navigate to any completed analysis in your history.

  2. 2

    Click Copy Link

Use the "Copy link" button in the top-right of the report page. The URL is copied to your clipboard.

  3. 3

    Share it

Paste the link into Slack, email, a Google Doc, or wherever your team collaborates. Anyone with the link can view the full report.

  4. 4

    Save as PDF

Click "Save as PDF" to open your browser's print dialog. Choose "Save as PDF" as the destination for a clean, printable version of the report.

Report URLs use an unguessable UUID — they are effectively private links. Only people you share the URL with can view the report.
